Aaron Neville belongs to perhaps the most important family that the rhythm of blues New Orleans & has produced. His brothers were part of funk band The Meters, the house band of producer Allen Toussaint. Also they backed Aaron on the classic single Tell It Like It Is (1966). It was not until 1977, the brothers decided to work together under the family name The Neville Brothers, with whom she made a few interesting albums. As a solo artist Aaron Neville comes at its best at singing ballads. With its thousands of recognizable voice he interprets this time a number of jazz standards, accompanied by a number of topkrachten as Ron Carter (bass), Michael Brecker (saxophone), Roy Hargrove (trumpet) and Ry Cooder (guitar). The beautiful strings arrangements give the songs the necessary grandeur. What pop stars like Rod Stewart ((It Had To Be You) and Robbie Williams (Swing When you're Winning) failed, succeeds Neville though. He convinces not only as interpreter of the great American Songbook, he also adds something to the many interpretations that already exist.
