"A recording by Erato, of Paris, released in Australia exclusively by World Record Club."

Australian WRC pressing, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. "S/T4285" on flipback sleeve, "ST.4285" on green 'strobe' labels. The WRC programme of the time, although bearing the worlds "all records available in mono or stereo" at the top, featured four LPs with an asterisk, which, upon closer reading, leads to the text at the bottom of the next page - "this record is stereo compatible; i.e. suitable for playing both on stereo equipment and good mono equipment with light-weight pick-up of high compliance. Preferably, however, equipment should be fitted with stereo cartridge and stylus - this enabling playback of all stereo".

The first three words of the briefer note for the following month's releases (similarly asterisked) in the June 1966 newsletter made it more explicit: "this stereo recording is suitable for playing only on stereo equipment, or on good mono equipment fitted with a stereo cartridge and stereo stylus".

A mono version of the LP had been issued by Erato in France, and this was WRC's first warning of the impending non-availability of mono discs, as the major European labels were ceasing production.
