LOL at ppl bitching about the scant liner notes. Who cares? just listen to the music. I don't think every vinyl reissue needs to treated like its an artifact going into the fucking Smithsonian.

my copy sounds beautiful... no issues here, yeah it could have come with some sleeve notes but frankly with music this hauntingly beautiful I can do without them

"World Of Echo" Audika 2019 repress just released along with a repress of the "Love Is Overtaking Me" album.

Despite the negatives comments below, this repress sounds really fine to me. My copie hasn't any "surface noise". Sometimes I'm wondering if this kind of comment are coming from original copie's owners who just want to keep safe their little privileges...

I don't have the original copy. This repress is nicely mastered and sounds good, but sadly as most vinyl reissues today the pressing quality is hit and miss. My copy is affected by surface noise on side A and B and disc 1 is slightly warped. The problem is they put the vinyls in cheap paper sleeves and they suffer damage before even being played. I guess as vinyl collectors we are tired of paying over and over again for poor quality reissues and original pressings are becoming more expensive every day. It feels amazing when you get a copy that is well mastered and pressed, but that's not always the case nowadays. Glad your copy was fine !

Disappointed with this extremely meager reissue of one of the more interesting albums of the last 30 years. No special inner sleeves, no insert, no liner notes regarding the only proper album he released during his lifetime. Sound is mostly fine with some surface noise throughout. Glad I received this as a gift because $30+ is excessive for such a bare bones package.

I have to agree that the packaging leaves something to be desired. My copy sounds fine, however I've purchased Audika LPs in the past that were riddled with awful surface noise, so I don't think it would be fair to simply blame the equipment.

i have no issues with this pressing. it sounds quite nice. Maybe my player and needle is of a higher caliber than yours? like a North Face jacket instead of one bought at Target.

I have the same issue. Specially on side B, pretty much throughout and this was a sealed copy

Sorry to hear that. My copy is whisper quiet.
