A Soul classic as the commoner and sadly inferior MD 1932 mix, that eliminates the Hi-Hat drums and driving percussion sound. That probably makes this DM 1879 session so superior, to it's more often seen brother.
Not sure I agree.. the first version I heard Mr. Searling play was the 'boom boom' fake drumkit version - which at the time was stretching the tunes played at The Casino.. first heard it on Piccadilly Radio (Manchester UK) Monday night Mike Shafts show where he had a 'Northern' DJ in at 9 o'clock pm ( I think??) to play 3 records.... Mr. Searling, Winstanley and Evison on alternate weeks and on a couple of nights Frank Elson.,,, still have the tapes,, :-)
I think you're wrong, it's this DM 1879 that's more common than the MD 1932
