This is listed as a pre-order on Amazon US releasing March 31, 2017 for $43.34... likely the black vinyl version. I purchased this through an ebay seller and received black vinyl. All info is identical to the sun/moon color version.As to quality, there's a lot of noise on this pressing. Pretty noticeable at low volume even.

As usual, awful sounding pressing from Mondo. The unusual extra amount of surface noise which I expect from them. If only that were it. There's a high pitch hum that comes and goes. It actually hurts my ears to listen to this on good headphones at a normal volume. They need to find a new plant to press at. I can't believe release after release they still sound this bad. I also can't believe I keep buying them. Why do they have to keep getting soundtracks I want?! At least give us a digital copy so we can listen to the music when the vinyl sounds this bad.

They do keep some for replacements. They sent me a replacement this week and it does sound a bit better. Still not up to industry standard in my opinion.

Many Mondo-releases are pressed by GZ. Many US-releases are pressed by GZ as well. Usually they work with US-brokers like Pirates Press - who again cooperate with GZ.

i know your pain man. every mondo album i have bought has some noise on it. my iron giant wasn't too bad with only a few minor ticks.planet of the apes was unlistenable and replaced.kubo is noisy with a litany of minor ticks and pops, no high pitch hum though.as this is sold out would mondo keep a few for replacements ?

Those two were fine for me. I had similar issues with Iron Giant (the worst so far) and Prometheus recently.

I'm very glad I'm not alone with the 45 vs. 33 1/3 issue. Also didn't realize until the last track. Sounded pretty good regardless.

You can't always say from the beginning if something can be pressed on 45RPM, especially with non-obvious things like "6 min. on one side" (experienced it with a pressing i did for myself) . Sometimes the proposal is made from the cutter when he/she notices the frequency spectrum allows 45RPM in some cases. I think Mondo was into 33 RPM, already transferred artwork (and maybe the sleeves were already printed) when they got to know it's possible on 45 RPM (by the plant). Who would do 33 if 45 is possible? I wouldn't blame Mondo for it - be happy it's on 45. Maybe they simply forgot to update their website.
