Side A, "War Zone":
"In 1980, what was left of the original band was asked to appear in a movie with Susan Sarandon titled 'The War Zone'. I come back to Cleveland from LA and preceeded to write and record a demo of what I hoped would be the title song for the film. As I was about to reunite with the band on the West Coast, Stiv fired me. In a matter of weeks, the band broke up all together. The film never went into production.
Unlike the Dead Boys song "Evil Boy" (which Stiv recorded on his first solo LP), 'War Zone' is the ultimate Dead Boys "song that never was"..."

Side B, "It's All Right":
"This is a very drunken and unplanned rendition of the Adam Faith classic. Cheetah didn't play because he was engaged in a dumb feud with me and Stiv (who sings backing vocals on this one), so we recorded "secretly" in Cleveland while Cheetah was in NYC. By this time Frank Secich was already slated to replace the beleagured Jeff Magnum on bass. Stiv was very territorial and this song marks the only time in his career that he allowed a fellow bandmate to sing the lead vocal."
