This is one of the most brutal releases of 1996. The tone is set straight away with the A side track On The Edge. This sounds very much like Dj Freak (John Bennett from England) is on the edge. We then move in the second track Annihilator. Chopped up super compressed kicks blasting out at over 200 bpm is the stuff of your mums nightmares. (as my mum found out in 96 when i shook the walls of our house to this.) We then move unto the B side. Requiem To The Hardcore is more a noise track (with a sample from a well known Industrial Strength artist speaking over the top.) this would be cool as a mid set intermission or scratched over. Then we have the final track. Noise Emission. again more 200BPM stuff. around 2 minutes in a massive horn/siren sample tears out over the speakers. I never heard this in a club but I could only imagine what it would sound like over a 60k rig. surely the stuff to send you over the edge. Trust me if you love 90s hardcore/speedcore then this is as brutal as it gets!! BUY ON SIGHT!!!!
