If buying this original promo, check what you receive & be aware of X2 re-issues: The 2006 reissue https://www.discogs.com/Dr-Dre-Let-Me-Ride/release/955595 has no 'promotional use only' text, different etchings & a barcode on the label. The re-issue comes in a company sleeve, & also has '2006' printed on the bottom of the rear. This is an official release. The second & harder to spot re-issue https://www.discogs.com/Dr-Dre-Let-Me-Ride/release/12524493 came sealed in a black sleeve. The labels are copy scans of the original; At a glance all is exactly the same, however on close inspection the small text is hard to read & the company logo's centre right are slightly blurred. Also this reissue has a wide circular indentation falling just inside the ganja leaves around the inside edge; the OG label is flat, bar the inner die mount around the centre hole. The run-out's do not have the additional Rainbo Records etchings S-28328/S-28329. Don't get stung & double check your labels & etchings.If you don't know the extended club mix, be advised: Its one of the career defining moments from Dre, 11 minutes of P-Funk on steroids & in my Dre top 5 hits. The LP version is still indispensable, in fact a little tougher & more direct, both versions are stone cold classics.
