Lyrically way ahead of its time. In an era of mostly mono-syllabic rhyming, Dr. Luv shows his lyrical dexterity by doubling, tripling & even quadrupling the syllabic rhyme count. The title track samples James Brown's "There It Is" & throws in a few of James' trademark screams & grunts to excellent effect. The bonus track (2nd track on side A) 'Overdose' is a display of 2 turntablism at its finest. No sampling in sight as DJ Kev-Ski uses good old fashioned 'cuttin' back' to great effect, cutting up Miami's old school stalwart 'Chicken Yellow', while Dr. Luv kills it with some of the dopest lyrics to drop in 88.

In a time when sampling James Brown was a standard, this track stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of them.

Picked up & appreciated by radio DJs when released but remarkably slept on by the record buying public. Sells relatively cheaply in second hand stores & there are still a few around so if you see a copy, snap it up.
