Francisco Hernandez Reyes - Whispers From The Wind download mp3 flac

For me, most of the more engaging music from Mexico has been in cross-genre forms, bands like Decibel or Nazca. Little Mexican general "prog" has interested me really, that is excepting the early Iconoclasta. Francisco Hernandez Reyes is the singer/guitarist from Cast (8), a band that always "had promise" but never really delivered anything more than a safe clichéd prog rock with little originality. With this album Francisco has attempted a more ambitious symphonic prog, yet it fails to move me at all. Methinks I've become a mite jaded with hearing too much prog that sounds like diluted copies of other bands. If you havem't, then maybe you'll like this, as it's all competently played.
