There is a number that has not been devised yet. A numerical expression beyond the communicative approach in languages taught and widely known by mankind. This number, which in fact is not a number yet, as it has not been introduced into the Britannica encyclopedia, for the time bing that is, identifies the amount of times that this slab of circular wax has been spun on my turntable.

The original is a barrage of sounds to level mountains with. When you decide to drop this cut, you have to bare with the fact that the remainder of your set will be looked down upon. Rest say maybe a few Thomas Krome picks, you really have nothing in your crate to flert with the intensity. Absolute mayhem, keeping you on the edge of your seat with chainsaw buzzing, cog wheel supplementary edits and granite hard beats propelling the tune to tumultuous hysteria. Even the so called breaks in this one are heavier than ninety percent of floor filling artillery you have, you just don't know it yet.

The Jochem Paap rework actually achieves the impossible. It's an interpretation that is as fascinating as the source material. May not be as industrial driven, but what it does boast - in my humble opinion - is one of the most well executed, and effective, build ups I've heard the genre has to offer. Words cannot conjure up the image of a darkened dance podium going berserk once the drums are tossed back in following a grand, chord driven crescendo that will literary have you spreading out your arms allowing your heart to jump out of your chest. A faultless production that put Speedy J right at the helm of the heavy hitting 4x4 approach to techno music. This, along with Krekc and Tannga, has perhaps, without a doubt, the Dutch producer in his finest hour, at least as far as the last decade is concerned. The way in which he gains momentum, and achieves hair raising tension, by distancing percussive elements and letting an epic, musical passage rip the cut is immaculate. Absolute perfection in my book.

When humanity gets around to forging the term for that number I mentioned above, do let me know. In the mean time, allow me to can this to infinity and back.

A masterpeice! The original is heavy as can be, but the nasty abrasive edge is complimented by distant sounding sonar-like cries, giving it a certain depth. Relentless dancefloor devestation!
Then the flip-side sees Speedy J at his remixing best, while he was still being exceptionally musical and original with his 4/4 techno tracks. A solid piece of peak-time techno with a beautiful progression of reverb-drenched chords that just lift the listener away from the pounding drums, and into some higher place, and then... well, you can guess what happens next!
Excellent stuff.
