Obviously, Jaz Love #2 is also based on the well known Heavy Vibes vibraphone. In other words, Jaz Love #2 sounds like a tribute to Vincent Montana Jr., and what a tribute ! This is pure class, even your grand mother could like it... P.S. : don't forget B side !

on "jisco jazz" GU is sampling Deodato from (1978) https://www.discogs.com/Eumir-Deodato-Whistle-Bump/release/1104924

This just got repressed (along with a ton of other GU stuff). Check Juno Records if you don't know where else to look.

Jisco Jazz: Deodato's Whistle Bump. Not GU's best by any stretch... good covers but I'd rather listen to the originals.

Glenn Underground has always paid tribute to the disco era and his productions sound like the deepest side of it. In Jazz Love #2 GU samples Vincent Montana's "It Looks Like Love" and there are no more boudaries left: house is disco, disco is house, deep ...

How does that guy do it? Jaz Love #2 needs nothing. Not only is it a serious ass and earth shaker, but also a piece of jazz genieus. Future producers should look to GU for how to create house music that is better than great.

I'll second the other reviews. A superlative, if that were possible, release from the Soul Brother of Detroit. Someone more astute with superior soul knowledge will probably recognise where the sample for Jaz Love #2 comes from, but DJ Sneak also uses to powerful effect on one the tracks from his Polyester ep #2 on Henry Street which, damnit, has yet to be liberated into my collection. Not pulling any emotional punches with the first track, there is more. Leav'en To-Day an unhurried house groover with an unshaven bassline to shake you up in front of those speaker stacks & yet if that weren't enough Jisco Jazz will get those retro flares a-twitchin' with pure discohouse vibezzz.Enough recommendation for you?

track a 1 is Fantaboulus!!!! i found it about two years ago and i have picked up two more since then it always seems to work its way into sweaty late night sessions. tracks b1 and 2 are also very well put together.a smooth blend of disco and mellow moods calls for good times and summer sounds!
