Joel and Stephen tried to stay true to the roots of the scene but unfortunately the scene changed, Joel & Stephen seperated to go their own ways Joel did The Good Strawberries while Stephen was more progressive. You could say when the raves were banned again there was nowhere to go but dark or aim at the garage/handbag/club scene afterwards. The record is in my opinion a last stab at re-living the days that had just slipped by while at the same time having to move on ..... Shame huh. Anyway it is very unique and basically a road marker for the genre splitting that occurred in late 1993 from HARDCORE (To stop all the bs arguing about genres) ie...Hardcore techno, hardcore rave, happy hardcore, hardcore jungle, hardcore drum and bass, to drum and bass, jungle, gabba, garage, techno, intelligent drum and bass, handbag, club, trance etc etc etc.. The record itself is very well put together and a must have for all kinds of collectors/dj's who like the stuff from the early 1990's. Pre release was late 1992 sales happened early 1993 Jem 77 was done!
