As a marked departure from his previous work, Gabriel’s solo work hones in on his darker, effusive musical house and techno side. Excitement builds from the first track, showing Gabriel as creative and thoughtful. Going deeper, the tracks have a seamless build climbing from 123 to 133 BPMs at the end, highly unusual but completely cohesive. “Eight” delivers a musical journey that feels very personal. And it is.

"Eight" was inspired by Amsterdam, where most of the album was created, and where Gabriel was bursting with creativity. The title itself is significant, as he made the record with eight different analog vintage synths, and the piece was finished and mastered on 08.08.08.
