Joshua Collins - Reform EP download mp3 flac

This EP is fantastic. I’m not very well familiar with the main artist but Honchos is a label which has occasionally managed to provide quality material.

The original mix has totally awesome drum programming. It’s somewhat hard to describe it. It’s like some electro programming on the background with a heavy tech house bass drum leading the track with small dose of tribal elements on top. The atmosphere is dominated by the heavy Detroit-style chords. Flip it over and you’ll find Rachael Starr’s version. Now, if you consider it as a remix, it’s not that great but if it would be considered as a song of its own it would be a good production. The main attraction is the massive bass line. I mean, this is one of those tunes which I recommend to be played out with a big sound system. Basically, it’s straight forward tech house. Most of elements of the original mix can be heard on the background but still it’s not a great remix even though it’s a great song. ‘Nastiness’ really lives up to its name. It’s a clever mixture of groovy house with eerie techno elements. So, a great record, overall.
