FACT 25 comes in two vinyl editions: Black and dark translucent red. It can only be differentiated when holding against a strong light source.
Apparently, this is due to Martin Hannett, who ordered a second master cut after he found out that 5000 records were pressed without the initial master having been approved.

There also are two sleeve variations:
A plain carton cover with glossy inner sleeve and having straight corners. Or a thick rough cardboard cover with rough inner sleeve and having rounded corners.

However, the two vinyl editions can come in either cover.

A distinction regarding the lacquer cutting (of the black vinyl) is the groove width, which is as wide as possible. For example, the United States FACTUS pressing has an A-side runout of nearly 1 1/2 inches across while it's less than 1/2" on this cutting. [This adds to the sound quality on an audiophile rig].Pirate version of Closer.

First Category on sleeve (spine only!), 2nd on labels, 3rd from runouts.

The outer sleeve and the labels look the same as the official 1980 Factory UK vinyl release, except for the back of the sleeve, that only has the frame, but no text, hence the misprint!!

Includes single sheet insert with printing on both sides, one side has the song lyrics.

Available on black or marbled grey, purple, blue or brown vinyl. A misprinted black edition (this version) also exists.

Probably from Germany.

The printing company on the insert was taken from the UK/Euro remastered LP edition and is of course fake too.European pirate edition on red vinyl. No matrix numbers.
The catalogue number on the label - 19L0094 is the same as the official Spanish issue.
Including Love Will Tear Us Apart as a bonusPre-final edition with generic EMI label design. A final edition was released after the label design was adjusted.

Specific label changes were the removal of "Sound recording by Factory Records. First publ. ℗ 1980 in U.K.℗ 1980 Factory Records" found above the boxed section only on this release AND removal of the the (duplicated) "FACOZ-1001 A" and "FACOZ-1001 B" found inside the boxed section only on this release.

This release (only) was also first issued in a wrap around 24 x 12 inch "open sided" inner sleeve page (see images). Copies of this release were also issued with the slightly later fully enclosed standard inner sleeve of the (above linked) final release.
