Just like fine wine 'Narcissist' has aged better over time. A much more matured and engrossing listen then I previously remember. A album that reminds me when I first heard Carl Craig's 'More Songs About Food And Revolutionary Art' album; which took me a few listens over time to really absorb the beauty and depth within the music. Now in 2018(+), 'Narcissist' now brings me the same appreciation and deep meaninful listen as it did with 'More Songs...'; which wasn't there at first!. The charming soothing-funk, intelligent deep thoughtful house/techno, the occasional eccentric playfulness, brings Chicago house and Detroit techno together with intoxicating effect. Kenny's creative skill in electronic music know-how delivers sophistication that plays with engaging depth while effectively bringing sublime warm electronic funk and soul into his music. This is a album that works particularly well, and better, when listened from beginning to end as a whole. Listening like this sets the mood of the albums flow, musical direction, pace, development, and a sense of listening completeness: Just like how a good movie or how a good book develops - you need stick with it to the end to get the full development, picture, incite and pleasure - as with this album! After all these years. 'Narcissist' has now become one of my favourite home listening techno albums that has, and will, stand the test of time. For some 'Narcissist' may not connect instantly! But with patience, the music will capture your heart as you begin to discover Kenny's engaging, delightful, rewarding, mature, deep style of house and techno that has plenty of hidden depth which starts to unravel and sink in with each new listen revelling this albums true potential as a now/future classic!

Don't miss Mono E Mono! Fortune Teller, My Reflection, and Jazz To The Future are quite accessible too. The other tracks seem a little esoteric but maybe they'll grow on me eventually.

Some people say it is less good than Azymuth or Methaphor LP's - DONT CARE - this new album delivers so advanced sounds and production that it will become a new huge electronic classic in a few years - Incredible Vocals with Detroit Strings and some minimal groovy stuff. Very inspired loops wich give a new sense of feeling a music beetween the fits and the head - TANKS AGAIN MR LARKIN -
