Mine skips too several times on Everyone's at it. And it's a brand new copy.

I read a lot of negative reviews about reissue, but my copy sounds amazing clear.

Just to let you know - the album is available on amazon and ebay for less than 20 pounds! Don't waste your money here!

I've read that a bunch of people who ordered this (myself included) have not received anything, not sure what is up with it.

My copy was said to have skipped by the previous owner. It does not skip on my Technics SL-D1 with Ortfon 3M MM cartridge, tracking force 3 grams.

idk which deck people are using. I'm a seller but after reading reviews, I thought all batches have defects. I decided to test and sell at a bargain price to get rid of. so finally opened one and played. NO SKIPPING AT ALL. vinyl was really dirty even if it's a factory sealed. after cleaning with a pad. it plays all good. there are a mild noises due to the dust but acceptable amount for a new pressing. I'm sure some of them skipping. but for some, it could be the equipment used or set up. FYI, tested with Rega RP 6 with Nagaoka MP200 / tracking force 1.80

Just picked up a used copy on Amazon for £20, having been refusing to pay inflated prices. Looking forward to playing this evening.

I was lucky to find this in a record store the other day, however, after reading the comments below I was concerned the item would be defective. Thankfully my copy plays perfectly from start to finish, no skipping, it plays all the way through track 5 etc.I remember I had records that would skip when I had a cheap turntable, this problem went away when I upgraded to a Project Carbon Debut.

BEWARE!!! I am now on my 5th copy of this record and ever single one has had skipping issues. This is a HUGE manufacturing defect and sellers should definitely be verifying that their vinyl "plays without skips" before selling to a helpless buyer. Buyers also beware!

Anyone knows about the new repress of the vinyl? There some new stock available at Amazon uk, take a look at the external suppliers.

I have the same issue with 2 consistent skips on "Everyone's At It". No pop or typical audio distortion you would typically hear when there's a physical skip on the groove. This almost sounds like it was pressed this way. Either way, it's very frustrating as the rest of the LP is in great condition and plays flawlessly, not to mention the additional cost I paid to have it shipped from the UK to the US.

aliblahblah Thank you for the information. So I decided I won't buy it.

So, the skip is at the end of the first verse of Everyone's At It - the line is "It's meant to be fun [and this just doesn't feel right]" - the bits in [] are missed due to the skip and we go straight into the chorus.

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid to buy another copy with problems. So please can you confirm the skip issue on the first tracks side A?

I just got one from Dodax on Amazon UK. Don't have an original pressing to compare it to, but this copy is very clean - not crackle or pops. Vinyl weight feels like it is around 150g. I've only listened to the 1st 4 tracks on the a-side, but Everyone's At It has 2 consistent moments it seems to skip on (will have to dig out the mp3s to confirm for sure) and the other 3 are fine. Will try to find a bit of time to listen to the rest. I'm listening on a Project Debut Carbon Espirit SB with the standard 2M Red cartridge as an FYI.

I haven't had any problems with skipping (throughout all of the tracks) but I have noticed that some of the songs are higher pitched, especially "F**k You" which while the vocals are normal the instrumental sounds much squeakier. Also, there is quite some heavy static on the record for a standard black vinyl. Either way, if you're a fan of the album, it's worth it to hear on vinyl.

I've had about 5 copies of this, and none of them have played properly on side 1, and I'm NOT using cheap gear. Has anybody actually had a copy that doesn't have issues?

Are you serious? I've got one and I realize that the first and the second song from side A skips all the time. I thought It was because the vinyl was arruined by the first owner.

Same story here - I have had 2 copies bought in different places and both of them had skips on side 1.

I gave up after three copies, all of which skipped in multiple places on side one. Am hoping it was a batch issue, and will try again with another purchase in six months time.
