Hey, thought I'd write a review, because the reviews I found for this album were not very informative. This is a crazy sounding mix of songs. A good soundtrack to walking around the city at night. There are all sorts of porny grooves and delirious textures going on, I approach this as if it's some kind of unexplainable weird mix tape.

It sounds like most instruments have at least one phaser going on. It gives it a strange texture that pans around constantly. There is an awesome phaser climax on the track "Phaetone", where two songs are competing to be heard, until they cancel each other out and all we are left with are a bunch of disorienting phaser sounds. Martin Rev does whatever he wants and has been using phasers since forever, all the madness going on here is intentional.

The shred guitar songs remind me of suicide in a way. He's reducing rock and roll riffs to basic mechanical grooves.

A challenging album perhaps, but it's somehow smooth and accessable. Venise, Nyx and Cupid have a good vibe. I think this album is trippy and 5 star greatness.
