For the record, the music on my copy is certainly from Hidden Fortress. It's pretty obvious at a glance, as the number of tracks and the track size/length/times don't match Throne of Blood/do match Hidden Fortress. Oh, and I listened to it, too. (Happily! The mistake was fine by me, as I didn't otherwise have HF, and the quality is AOK for the $8.00 it's currently changing hands for.) And Doxy, being the scam company that they are, certainly didn't do a recall or a repress, right? It seems clear that they mistakenly used the wrong master from their 4x LP, overpriced Akira Kurosawa boxed set released in 2010. ( https://www.discogs.com/Fumio-Hayasaka-Masaru-Sat%C5%8D-Akira-Kurosawas-Movie-Soundtracks/release/2383136 ) My guess was that they didn't continue releasing the other LPs separately for fear of returns, people asking the obvious questions, generally saving face, etc. But I personally would love to hear if anybody actually managed to find a copy with Throne of Blood in the grooves.

Checked with the movie, as far as I can appreciate, the soundtrack is in fact Throne of blood...
