One of my all-time favourites. From Bebop to Cool to Swing and back. Two records of two different bands, but with a very similar mood. The solo parts are well balanced, saxophones, trumpets, pianos, all great players, nice collective, no hero needed. Excellent fresh recording quality (surely remastered in 1976 - originally recorded 1957/58). Enjoy the vinyls.
I agree. Two of the best jazz drummers on one title can never be a bad thing!
