Some different versions of tracks on the vinyl press vs. streaming (I happened to notice additional Puff Daddy vocals on "Not For Radio"). I think this album was unfairly buried in the Kanye/Wyoming blitz, but this is one of the best from that endeavor and one of Nas's best, IMHO. Unpopular opinion, I know, but the beats here are incredible and Nas sounds invigorated. As far as mastering and sound quality, Kanye's attention-to-detail is completely gone and his recording process is now done on laptops and portable (cheaper) equipment, done in a rushed fashion, one-take or scratch vocals used, distortion and flaws intact on purpose. The soul is still there, though, on tracks like "Bonjour", "Adam and Eve", "Cops Shot The Kid", etc. This record really deserves another shot and ought to be evaluated on its own -- there is buried treasure here.

7 Tracks in a gatefold while others are in regular covers like NAStradamus or I am.., etc.. Anyway I'm no Nas fan .Gave away my Illmatic CD cause itwasn't my sound somehow. Maybe I should'vbe kept it..

Incredibyl how bad the master as well as the cutting of this record are.. I hoped so much to have some nice versions of those songs after the digital release was just unacceptable overcompressed and full of digital distortion.. but apparently they took the same master to cut on wax but didn't even prepare it for a real vinyl cut. ss-sounds are incredibly loud and just destructing all the rest of the music. Unbelievable how this can happen with such a huge release..

It's really a disaster!And yes- I just know about this "nasir movie" got a different mastering, which is much better and has way more dynamics..No idea what these people are doing..?!

Believe it ! i received the record today, i compare both digital and vinyl, surprise, the digital file is much brighter and more colourful than the vinyl sound. how could have they done this? it looks like they a recorded cd and use it as a master for the vinyl cutting. When i bought this record i wish songs like Everything would sound amazing on wax, but hell no, the youtube file is even a better listening experience.

100% agree - one of the worst sounding records I own. Distorted to hell. It wouldn’t have been that hard to bounce a less hot master for wax. Just terrible and disappointing, wish I could take it back
