Incredible album - one which for me slipped under the net when first released - for all lovers of Ozrics/Static you will not be disappointed each track taking you out there and further!!! Really could do with more releases from Nodens this is definitely a future classic!

I think it's a great album, the sound is brilliant, lovely layered soundscapes which sound amazing on headphones, relaxing and dipping into the world of Nodens Ictus. It is a much more experimental sound similar in vein to the last Ozrics lp 'Technicians of the Sacred'. The first two tracks are your normal 7 or 8 minutes in length, it's the tracks 'Swoop Bong' and 'Fractual Sunset' where Ed and co really get into some interesting sounds. Fractual Sunset is a 25 minute monster that reminded me of a kind of KLF Space lp track, travelling to distant places. The track mutates nicely and on the first listen I was loving not knowing where the tune was going to end up, epic guitar riffs, weird Eat Static style spaceship meltdown halfway through... I thought including 'Chickens in the Mist' was a bit strange as the track is now pretty ancient and appeared on the first Nodens lp as a live track recorded in 1989. However it still sounds fantastic and is such a chilled out track that I'm more than happy to be listening to it again. It is nice to see Ed using Nodens to make some new and interesting tunes and I love the longer tracks, I only hope it's not as long to wait for the next Nodens lp... Add to this the fact that Eat Static have a new album out and Silas Neptune releasing his first solo stuff, it's been a good year for music from the Ozrics and Static camps. Long may it continue! Thanks Ed Wynne for all the amazing music you have been producing over the past 35 odd years!!
