Suddenly, a 80-year-old-lady starts telling us something. It could be percieved both as a welcome or as a warning to not follow our path in the case we're not reckless enough to let them give us a massage in hell. Let's go straight through it and see what happens.'Navigation to Nowhere' is surely one of the highest moments here. The monotonous and swinging keyboard after a synth's arpeggio - which sounds as our only saviour - hypnotizes us and prepares us to welcome the gradual kick's filtered entry. A bad omen is called out by an unclear vocal sample, and there begins a machine gun of hihat beats, with just a bit of noise. Fast cutted voices let us realize that drowning in this whirl is only our fault, that these are the risks of an unprepared navigation.Mr. KDC, who also let us taste some madness and hellfire, states we're not allowed to keep on collapsing; through 'Vessel', instead, we have to land on a sea of dubstep syncopated beats. Currents are not so wavy during our travel, which allow us to focus on an horizon made of gloomy and coiled sounds instead. The vessel is traveling at constant speed, finding no obstacles ahead: we can only hear blurs of laments and weeping, to finally find a heavenly quiet island. It's been a 8-minute-long travel. Now, we can land to safe shores.'Purgatory' closes the EP starting with a dub techno kick (Luxury Problems-like). The heavenly island isn't to be found, however. In the track a threatening vocal sample is present, interlaced with warm synths. It seems the music is leading us through the last industrial blast of drum machine. It stops right when we begin to know and enjoy its desperation and madness. Welcome back home.

some tracks sounds a bit like Current Value in late 90's. wasn't impressed so much with this after german engineering exploration )

This isn't even hinting at the style of drum and bass Current Value did. Clueless.

Wow, just wow. This. Is. Simply. Amazing. This is, like, a completely new level of electronic music. The seemingly haphazard bits create a harmonious and mysterious whole, leading the listener into a dark abyss of most unexpected aural experience. It's been a long time since I was impressed by a record that much. And if you're a fan of Sam and his unconventional take on music, you're bound to be satisfied with this one.
