Shudder To Think - Pony Express Record download mp3 flac

My copy (black version) arrived earlier this week. Given it a few listens. In my opinion this isn't worth tracking down, and a proper version still needs to be pressed. Biggest gripe is just how noisy this pressing is. My copy was sealed, and I have cleaned it three separate times - the noise issue is the exact same with each spin so clearly it's the pressing itself. Extremely noisy in the dead wax, between songs, the quiet parts of songs, etc. It's prevalent at almost any moment on the record, a constant crackle in the background. The overall presentation feels bootlegged as well (flimsy jacket, blurry art, harsh paper sleeve insert with black/white printing only).

To me this album deserves much, much better. If you're just a casual fan, or don't plan on taking it out of the shrink wrap then by all means track this down. But I doubt I'll ever listen to this pressing ever again.

Sounds good. volume is a tiny bit low for my liking, but otherwise, very happy with this pressing.
