Sissi - Look At Me EP download mp3 flac

Sissi, the duo of Jim Barr and Tammy Payne, only released one short EP on the late, lamented Cup of Tea Records, but what a stunner it is. LOOK AT ME is firmly in the downtempo vein, and the title track has a slippery languor to it, though the "Mojo Mix" takes the jazz into a smokier club. But the real star of this EP is "The Voice of the Ocean," a sensuous track with a haunting quality of a lullaby -- but with a definite jazz underpinning. The instrumental takes out Tammy Payne's vocals, but, truth be told, liquid voice elevates the song into the stratosphere. It's a an absolutely marvelous track, well worth the effort of tracking this EP down.
