Squab Teen - Dance America download mp3 flac

Squab teen's CD, Dance America, is a pretty cool listen. Musically, it's pretty angular and quirky in a way that should appeal to folks into the kind of strange coolness that Skin Graft Records is known for putting out. However, at the same time, structurally this is somewhat straightforward. It's also danceable, thanks in large part to the well-put-together industrial beats which drive the whole thing. This one is definitely a keeper.

This one-woman band (Nicole Elmer) is not based in Canada as the back of the case says, but New Orleans, Louisiana to be exact. Part of the good ol' Chromosome57 collective, which gave birth to the well known acts Telefon Tel Aviv, Neutral, Olivetti. Check out her releases under Mad Monkey and Hymen under the alias Neutral.

This electro-wave Canadian based band is a great expression of our inner feeling of electro beats. Not only that its just plain good! It starts out with a Taco Bell order @ a drive through! Completely awesome! Not to mention "Girls like beauty parlors" and "I sing the pack-man electric" I guess made after someone's book or something, anyway its a great cd, you'll love to dance to the bedroom jams! Well, if you like electro-beats, get this album... perhaps if yr into Chicks on Speed, thats who they reminded me of in some similar ways, just for a similar taste suggestion, anyone into electronic music can like this CD its great. GO GET IT! :)
