I also totally disagree with Korekuta. Listening to this new Tear Garden album brings the best from the past further into the future. The album is more electronic than in the past but much less chaotic than Secret Expriments. I like all TG albums and this one is my favorite from now on. Maybe you don't like electronic music? I mean this is very well-done and up to date with contemporary experimental music. Your "reasonably objective point of view" on Have a Nice Trip is fine, as far as you are concerned. Mine is neither more nor less objective and reasonable, though I don't really care if it is. My greatest concern is if the music moves me or not, and in this case it really does. Okay, I can find myself in this kind of statement, though I am still missing ye olde gardeners.Maybe you're right, Verblose, and I should give them a chance on the headphones. Celebrated a gig of the Legendary Pink Dots some days ago, where happened exactly this: played many of their new, more electronic-based songs and I started to like them. Well, even me lives and learns ;0)!

I disagree tear GARDEN IS GROWING STRONGER EVERY RELEASE AND SORRY KARKHEAD ATOA I RESPECT PEOPLE HAVING INDIVDUAL IDEAS BUT PLEASE IF YOU LOOK ON HAVE A NICE TRIP MOST OF IT IS MIXED BY KA SPEL AND OTHER PEOPLE CEVIN IS THERE BUT YOU CAN HEAR OTHERS INFLUENCE... YOU WANT TO LIVE ON THE PAST THEN DO SO HAVE A NICE TRIP IS BEYOND AWESOME!

What the hell happened to Tear Garden, that beautiful little extra-comet in Edward's dark-dotted universe? What happened to those morbid pearls of pop, of which this band once used to string us chains of scarred angels, floating homes and ships, doomed to sail forever? What first seemed to be only a secret experiment an album ago (quite literally), now forces us to gather in front of the harsh face of truth: this project has become just another of cEvin Key's subconscious electro-bastards - featuring Edward's voice as a distant echo, as an epitaph on this digital gravestone! Not that I do completely dislike what Skinny Puppy's Daddy's body of work is all about, but when I buy me a jar labelled with "forgotten fruit in plain chocolate" I do not want to taste carbonized chip-throw-off. Though I can hear the lords of transience whisper "Rest In Peace" already and the reaper whistle in the hallway, I will keep my wings on waiting for a gentle rain to fall...

Edward contributes far far more than just vocals on this, and other more recent TG albums. Perhaps you need to look elsewhere to find justification for not liking this, as I find it sublime.
