Does anyone know when this album was reissued ?
My copy has a different frontcover without the Wavevorm Transmission 2 title.
The Vision has been misprinted as 'The Visiom'

Though it never gets as much attention as Hood's "Minimal nation" and "Internal empire" releases, it remains my favorite album of his. It has a raw, old school approach, and the stripped down feel of the aforementioned releases is still not as obvious. Personal highlights are the frenetic K-Force, Chrome (just check that bass line out and how it makes you swing), the evergreen club cut Projectile Darts, and maybe my favorite of them all, the closing number, Magnetic Storm, with its nervous synth stabs and dense slabs of melody.
The rest is worth a mention too. Gamma Scale resembles the last track, and if you like that one, this one will be right up your alley as well. Liquification is an experimental tune with no percussion which tends to hint at Hood's later, generally more appreciated and globally praised work, where he completely redifined minimal techno.
If his subsequent achievements were deemed techno music on bread and water, then "Waveform transmission vol. 2" boasts a full banquet, with a wide array of beverages to chose! Not as relentless and mechanical as Mills' "Waveform transmission vol. 1", this one maintains a solid groove and funk throughout, and to my ears, sounds slightly more captivating and interesting than any of his proximate work.

From straight techno, The Vision style from "The protector", over the driving classic "K-Force" to the wound-up "Projectile Darts". The 8 tracks forge a landscape of old school techno and Detroit funk.
