this is a good audience sounding recording from the infamous day on the green festival from oakland ca on 10/10/76 the who and the greatful dead headlined this festival on october 9th and 10th that year, this was the end of the who by numbers world tour wich started a year earlier in europe in autumn 75, anyway i would grade the sound on this at C if you want to hear a better boot of this show GET JOHNS BIRTHDAY LIVE 1976, that boot is from the day before this show HOWEVER, this show the band changed the set up a bit at the very end and the gem here is if you want to hear the WORST VERSION of johnny b good live that is what the who ended there set with at this gig WITH MOON ON VOCALS, its so bad you have to love it. if better sound is what you are looking for then as i said get the johns birthday 2 cd set, still this one does not sound as good but just for the encore and the fact i am a who compleatest i had to get this 2 cd set, as with all the japan heartbreakers releases this comes with a nice glossy live shot of the who from the 1975/76 touring era.....
