This was released simultaneously for record store day 2012 in Australia, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom and USA.

The records are each housed in printed picture sleeves with plain white paper inner sleeves. All three records are house within a thin cardboard slipcase.

Limited to 5,000 copies Worldwide. Of these 1,900 were made available for North American stores, the remainder were distributed in other territories.

As others have said the packaging won't blow you away like some other Ipecac releases (Mondo Cane *swoon*), but the sound quality is top. After not really listening to the vinyl set I decided to play the first disc today... yeah clearly a more natural sounding copy of the recording. Very glad I didn't sell it. I've only resold two Patton projects, my MFSL Angel Dust and Lovage. Everything else is such a keeper. Time to buy a few things.

Potential new buyers: don't let the negative reviews scare you off from purchasing if you want to. There's really NOTHING wrong with this release. Those complaining about the packaging (and there's one here who hasn't even listened to the records yet, but he's already bitching about the covers) clearly don't understand what music on vinyl is about and are probably just buying records because it's cool to do so. When this came out, the asking price was €37.99 in Europe. That's what you will most likely pay for a normal double record set from a big pop artist. True, the package could have been fancier, but why? And who cares anyway. Only a hipster who buys records for the cool factor of it will complain about that, at this price.This box was well worth the money back then, and still is now. After all, records are for listening, not holding and be looked at. And the quality of the vinyl pressing is really excellent. Wish more albums were released this way: content over style, not the other way around.

For a long time I had a very bad opinion about this vinyl version but now I changed my mind. The CD version is just much louder and it seems to be more lively and dynamic at the first impression. Both CD and vinyl sound great to me!!

Sounds great and the people complaining about the packaging being "just" regular jackets in a cardboard box are the same people that would cry about the price if it were made in an over the top style package. This is much nicer than the Sonic Youth / Feedtime style boxset with 4 inner sleeves thrown inside a box. This is a great set and was sold nice and cheap. Keep vinyl affordable.

As said; pressing is EXCELLENT ! Clear sound; loud; no surface noise at all; even in quieter moments.Box + packaging is ok; but paper sleeve look really cheap..I would recomand it !

The sound is very good (but cd's is better, actually louder/clearer....), the package poor. Where the fuck is the credits, the recording / musicians info etc.etc?????..at least, one OIS, a small photo of the band.... I m a fan of Ipecac 'movement', i have some releases BUT this one is not so good...it looks beautiful in the shrink, when you open it you see just three paper covers with their vinyls in fuckin dry scratchy white papers sleeves...:-( LIMITED? 5000 copies?? How do i know it?? Sorry but it looks ...unlimited! IPECAC people, search with your hands deeper in your pockets! But never forget that the content is SUPER as i already know from the cds releases!

This is the first time I have bought an Ipecac release where I feel a bit disappointed.It seems like it was put together with nothing more than craft paper printed out of an average office copier/printer. I didn't expect this from an Ipecac release... more so because the CD versions are so excellently put together in terms of packaging and design.Unfortunately I'm in the middle of moving houses, so I haven't been able to listen to the quality of the records.

Maybe they were in a hurry to put this on record store day. Can't wait to see the quality of the 4th album. Maybe they learn and the 4th record make the box explode because the vinyl is to thick, or they make a gatefold out of it so it wont fit in the box. That would be hilarious:P Still this one is very collectible.

The records sound good, but the sleeves are enlarged (stretched) CD sleeves, the edges of the detailing is blurred and the colours are poor, like bootleg sleeves and the box itself is like paper. A very lacklustre packaging. I'd take the CDs over this box any day of the week. The sound difference is probably slightly better on CD and the packaging will not fall apart as readily as this cheap piece of tat.

Ignore the poor inking and low resolution artwork and extremely thin cardboard slipcase, the lack of printed inserts or printed inner sleeves and you have three exceptional pressings here, well worth the RSD asking price. Sadly Tomahawk are largely hit and miss, with great high spots with 101 North; God Hates A Coward, Sweet Smell Of Success, Desastre Natural, Harelip and Captain Midnight but the remainder of the tracks meander between mediocre to awful. Often Tomahawk sounds like a band which is a little lost and on very shaky creative foundations. It seems to serve as a remainder that Mike Patton seems to work better when someone else is pulling the strings or has written the material or organising the chaos (so to speak) as in Faith No More, Mr. Bungle and even Mondo Cane to a degree which was very great but slightly tinged by Patton's lack of subtlety when handling those great pop compositions, which themselves weren't exactly retiring.This said, it's a decent enough mix, superior to the CDs. I just wish that the manufacturing materials were of a higher standard and some effort was put into the package as a whole. It's just slapdash and thrown together. Luckily for us that United Record Pressing, Wes Garland and Nashville Record Productions weren't as niggardly with their efforts as Fontana Distribution appear to have been.

Ignore the fact that the material was written by the incredible and amazingly talented Duane Denison, not the demigod known as Mike Patton. The weaker songs are few and far between, as in one or two on each of the later two albums, which may serve as a reminder that even when Tomahawk aren't at their incomparable best, they're still far better than most any rock you'll hear on the radio xoxo
