Is there a translation of the booklet available? I read no Japanese.

I would not consider this a reissue of "Snowflakes are Dancing" (with bonus tracks), which is how it seems to be listed at discogs. It could better be considered remix-remake-revisit album though the tracks do contain the original Moog and Melotron performances from his 1974 album.

To clear up exactly what is going on here. Tomita is essentially revisiting his 1974 multitracks used for "Snowflakes are Dancing" again in 2012 and doing a new stereo CD and 4.0 channel SACD mix of the old album with bonus tracks as well as attempting to repair some of the original recording flaws. He's also changed track order (there is a Red Bull Academy video where he discusses it but ironically a good portion of time is spent on trying to figure out which track is which because the international audience only knew the English language track names and a different playing order). Once or twice his new mixes have easy to spot differences like adding the sounds of a rain storm to "Gardens in the Rain" but most are as remembered on "Snowflakes" but with tweaks for stereo, noise and distortion. As for the 3 (not 2) "new" tracks. "Whistle and Chime - The Art of Sound Creation" is a synthesis demo intro to the classic Snowflakes track "Arabesque No.1", on it he wordlessly demonstrates how he synthesizes two of his signature sounds step by step. He has played this demo since the mid 1970s but it's on CD the first time here. "Arabesque No.2" is his 21st Century new track. He seems to be using physical model synthesis or at least recent synth technology rather than his Moogs, have to translate the booklet to see what he's saying about it. It's a Debussy piece, it sounds like recent Tomita but not the same style Tomita who did Snowflakes. Then the longest piece "Nuages" - this dates to around 1974 and was not included on the original album. It wound up in a dramatic play that had an LP album in Japan, but this is the first time it's on CD. It's Moog, Mellotron and authentic 1970s.

There are 2 new tracks are, pity made nowadays. Of course they aren't as fascinating as the old tracks are which were made in 1974.
