I really like this old gem. Its charm and whimsy makes it a fun listen from 1950 at the waning end of the big band era. From Latin Music to Island music there was an increasing interest by the mainstream for "world music", especially that of the United State's neighbors. "Man Smart Woman Smarter," here sung by The Duke of Iron is a song we've all heard, from Belafonte to the Grateful Dead. Bed bug Calypso is sung from the perspective of a preference to be re-incarnated as a bed bug to thus share a bed with women and bite them. Sex Changin' is almost prescient in its humorous discussion of cross dressing, transvestism and gender bending. Love this record, lots of fun!
