This album contains a lot of memorable hits from late 2001, and some in 2002. One CD contains the heavy dance and trance while the other includes the lighter, less serious stuff. I really had high hopes for this release when I saw the tracklist for the first CD, and for the most part it is a very good release, but not enough to get 5 stars.

The first CD is obviously the preferred one of the two for me as I am deeply into trance and club music. I love songs like Kosheen, Will I by Ian Van Dahl and especially tracks 5 (Riva's Who Do You Love Now) right through to 4 Strings' Into The Night. I literally have no issues with any of those songs and love all of them, and later in the album it included Suburban Train by Tiesto, DJ Aligator Project's The Whistle Song and Dirt Devils's The Drill. However, the mixing is my biggest complaint with this CD as there hardly is any noticeable mixing during the transitioning, except for PPK into Riva, Marc Et Claude's Tremble into 4 Strings and Members Of Mayday's Sonic Empire into Brancaccio & Aisher's It's Gonna Be...(A Lovely Day). Though, in saying that, as disappointed as I was by the lack of mixing, the track list is so awesome! These tracks are literally some of the greatest of the time, so it is a highly memorable one in my opinion.

The second CD is not as good for me, but this is only because it goes towards a pop and cheesy dance route which never progresses into trance at the end. I enjoyed iio's Rapture, Par-T-One Vs INXS's I'm So Crazy, Green Velvet's La La Land, Baz's Believers (King Unique Radio Edit), Roger Sanchez's Another Chance and Mark Picchiotti Pts. Basstoy Feat. Dana's Runnin. There were still other good ones as well, but because it lacks any trance or serious club hits, the first CD wins. On the other hand, the mixing is better and more noticeable here and I am not sure why that is the case with this one and not the first CD, so that helps it a bit.

Overall, slightly disappointing due to CD 1's lack of mixing, and CD 2's lack of trance, but with what it does include, it also does a lot of things right. I do recommend this album mainly for CD 1 as the song selection is flawless, but just don't expect much transitioning between songs. The second CD still has many good tracks that I am sure many loved upon release, just not 5 star worthy overall.
