When I was asked to record a mix promotional CD for Silent, I thought of two approaches: one where I would exibit my style as an "ambient" d.j. (which could embody academic music, experimental industrial, jazz, jungle, kids records, The Beatles, etc.). A second approach would let the music of Silent Records speak for itself. I chose the latter as I felt it to be stronger promotional and sonic representation of the Silent sound. All materiel contained on this recording is from the Silent records catalog. Silent music covers a broad range of tonality, music genre, and mood. In this sense it reaches beyond the narrow, market based definitions what ambient, trance, techno, chill, industrial (fill in the bank) musics are dictated to be. Listen, discover, enjoy.
