I have observed that whenever Pearl Jam resides in one venue for two (or more) consecutive nights, in order to grasp the true spirit of their live performance, it is always advisable to attend the second show, which checks the flaws of the previous night. This 1st Wembley show of 2000 had a lot to check - not only was the setlist too much of a hit parade, but also the band seemed to choke on the rock'n'roll stardom aura of the arena. The number of screw-ups is unusually high - Given To Fly, Even Flow, Daughter, or Evolution, with most of the remaining songs being delivered at an average level at best. Not to be anal on the other hand, the opening Of The Girl was particularly memorable, in comparison to the rest of the show, as well as the very favorite Black can never be screwed up, even by Pearl Jam. All in all, not recommended, as there are far too many better shows, starting with the follow-up on Wembley the next day.
