Right. Funkytown has been played out. Then one finds this magnificent Cowley mix that gives Funkytown a whole new lease on life. Spectacular and cosmic and yes the LTD is also spellbinding. A must have treasure.

Isn't the first usually a game changer in just about anything? Through my DJ career starting in 1978 to 1995, this FIRST HOT Classics, is in my top 10 faves of all the subscription services I had throughout the years! That's saying something when the likes of DISCONET, DMC, RAZORMAID, etc. had some iconic & historical mixes/remixes to brag about! Truly a magnificent and highly rated piece of art!

This record is a flawless, smashing and wonderfull record.. Patrick Cowley's way around the outstanding disco mega hit Funkytown is a classic remix and it feels like the sound sounds like more. Play it LOUD. Lipps Inc are ok, but this little twist of sound and fills from the legendary Cowley gett's it off. And sper dancefloor filler.. I can still play it and pack the floors.. Also try the on official Hills of Kat Mandu
