An artist called Lodi. As I did the design for the Street Beats 2 compilation I tried to license the pic. Unfortunately it never manifested and I was really gutted as it took me weeks of a lot of effort.

This one really sounds like Photek to me the amen workout and the fact some of the beats used in this are what he used from Truper 2 as well as the atmosphere of the tune makes me think at least one side is his work.. but without conformation I guess there's still a question mark as to who the actual producer is.

I asked Basement Phil about these before and he told me VDL 6 is Photek. I think VDL 2 is RJ? VDL 3 and 4 we now know are Eze G. Don't know who VDL 5 is but scored this one as well for a very fair price. Could it be Photek also? Sounds a little like him.

Really All these tunes that are listed at ridiculous prices should be reported as joke listings, discogs should be doing there research to what is a genuine rare tune worth the price of asking and what is a blatant attempt to distort the market

I wish someone would post a clip of the AA side.

To these ears at least, the involvement of Photek in the making of these tunes is quite obvious. The a side is very typical of his tunes at the time and the overall production is extremely reminiscent of the second vol. of The Truper series on this label. A very nice tune indeed with his usual flailing amen assault. The flip is a deep rolling tune with a wailing diva sample crying, 'Baby!' and some nice pads. Definitely worth a listen.
