A remarkable restriction was given to the artists for this compilation; the contributions are pieces which use only a limited bandwidth of 200hz.
Francisco Lopez, Zbgniew Karbowski, Kim Cascone, Coti, Ilious, Philip Samartzis and others work their way here through frequency ranges from 0 to 17002hz.
Most of them remain in the lower range from 0-200hz up to 490-690hz (Lopez, PG 13, Karkowski, Coti, Kawasaki, Ilios) while only a few step in the middle field between 991-2298 hz (AS 11, Samartzis, Yoshida) and only Cascone and Jason Kahn work in the highest ranges from 14000 to 17002.
Also this project was not meant as a tonal experiment for studio technicians it requires at least a sense for the extraordinary like some of the Ash International Releases and a very good stereo system to catch up with the barely audible parts some pieces mainly consist of.
The minimal nature of the resulting pieces leaves one sometimes puzzled, particularly even the impression arises these might have been complete different tracks once where just a filter has been running over, cutting out all but the desired 200hz spectrum and sometimes the limitation prevents a track of getting really exciting.
"Suffer / Enjoy" is theoretically a success but in fact not an Album to please more but the hardcore of sound experts.
